Moscow in 2010 will host forum “High technologies of 21 century”

Eleventh International Forum “High-tech of 21st Century” will be held in Moscow from 19 to 22 April 2010, told a source in the city administration toRIA Novosti on Thursday.

“According to the order of Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov, the forum is being held for further development of scientific and industrial potential of Moscow and other regions in Russia, for introduction of high-tech products and technologies to strengthen interregional relations, maintaining the image of Moscow as a center of high technologies”, – said the agency interlocutor.

The mayor ordered to conduct an open competition for the right to sign the state contract for works associated with the preparation and holding of the forum to the capital’s Department of Science and Industrial Policy. “The initial price of the government contract is set up to 12,6 million rubles,” – explained the representative of the City Hall.

The forum will be attended by the representatives of entities in Russia and foreign countries.

One section of the forum will be focused on small innovative entrepreneurship, the official said.

He added that in March a meeting of the Organizing Committee Forum would be held.
