Virtual flash drive from Google
It has recently become known that Google will soon launch a modern online service that will allow users to store large amounts of information on the servers of American company.
In plain English a new service will be a virtual memory stick.
According to the company, thanks to a new service many users will no longer need to recover data from a flash drive in case of damage.
It is worth noting that Google is not a pioneer in the field of “virtual flashcards”. DropBox has the palm of victory.
New opportunities with virtual flash drive from Google
It is expected that the new service from Google will work similar to the already existing service Google Docs.
Now it is possible to upload any file, from the book in PDF format to the videos and presentations, with the help of Google Docs.
However, the maximum upload file size should not exceed 10 GB.
For comparison, the service DropBox offers free account with the ability to upload files up to 2 GB, and a paid account – up to 100 GB.
It is assumed that the new service from Google will be called GDrive and the access will be available from any device, for example, Apple iPhone 5, which has access to the Internet.
Nothing was reported on the timing of launch of the service.
